Australia’s National Schools Tree Day – 28th July 2017
Approximately 3,000 preschools, kindergartens, primary and high schools across Australia took part in Schools Tree Day 2017! Students nation-wide have learnt how to plant, and care for the seedlings they grow.
Schools Tree Day can mark the beginning of a long-term environmental program, engaging your students in a fun, hands on activity that can reinforce their environmental, maths, science and creative arts learning or simply contribute to creating beautiful school grounds. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to start conversations and learn more about the benefits of trees and forests for our communities and schools and to celebrate the only carbon positive sustainable industry in Australia!
Mark your school calendars for next year: National Schools Tree Day – Friday 27th July 2017 and National Tree Day - Sunday 29th July 2017
