AusTimber 2012

AUSTimber 2012 is the largest forestry and timber expo in the Southern Hemisphere, showcasing the latest in technology, machinery, products and services for the industry.

AUSTimber 2012 will provide:

  • Every visitor – from forestry experts, mill owners, machinery enthusiasts, students and families – an experience of the magnitude of the forestry industry – from the trees in the plantation to the loading of logs, chips and fuel onto trucks.
  • Opportunities for industry to see new technology and equipment in action in the forest
  • Networking and opportunities to catchup with colleagues and associates from throughout Australia and internationally, through both business and social activities
  • Exchange of ideas that will continue to take forestry into the future

AUSTimber 2012 promises to be bigger and better, as the expo will be conducted on a single location in the forest, only 15kms from the city centre and featuring both softwood and hardwood harvesting, as well as residue management, biofuel production, establishment techniques and silvicultural practices. Indoor facilities will be provided for all aspects of sawmilling and value adding of timber products, with a conference in the city embracing all the issues facing future forestry.

Exposition – AUSTimber 2012 exposition will be conducted in a single location in the forest, only 15kms from the city of Mount Gambier, the centre of the largest plantation forest area in Australia.

The Expo will be held over two days 30th and 31st March delivering a dynamic environment to experience the latest in precision forestry technology with live demonstrations, indoor and outdoor displays.
