New ForestVR™ 360° Videos Launch: Pine: Seed to Shelter and Spotted Gum: Forest to Flooring
22 October 2025
ForestLearning has launched two new ForestVR™ 360° immersive videos that showcase the journey of timber from the forest to the built environment.
Pine: Seed to Shelter takes viewers through the renewable softwood forestry cycle — from nursery seedlings to planting, growing, harvesting and finally transforming into the homes and schools that shape our communities.

Spotted Gum: Forest to Flooring highlights the sustainable management of Australia’s iconic hardwood forests, following their journey from forest to beautiful, durable timber products like flooring and cladding.

These short, 2-minute videos are designed to give students, teachers, and the community an accessible, high-impact snapshot of sustainable forestry in action. They are ideal for use:
- In classrooms as part of science, geography, and design and technologies lessons
- At school and career expos to spark curiosity about forest and wood product careers
- At community events and regional shows where forestry is part of local life.
ForestLearning’s Industry Education Champions are already using these videos at regional and school-based events across Australia, supported by ForestVR™ headset loan kits. This on-ground outreach is helping thousands of students and community members experience sustainable forestry in an immersive, interactive way.
